What is Medical Thermography?
- Breast cancer
- Systemic conditions
- Dysfunction of the lymphatic system
- Testicular disorders
- It uses state of the art medical infrared technology to assess heat in the bodies tissues. Comparative exams create a baseline for monitoring the bodies health based on individual thermal patterns and changes.
Thermography is the measurement of temperature variations at the body surface. As with the oral thermometer that has been used for many years, changes in temperature indicate disease processes. Finely tuned technology can find abnormalities in human wellness long before the body’s sensory organs can identify them. This is true for breast cancer; thyroid dysfunction; inflammation leading to cancer, heart disease, and other diseases. It is imperative that all physicians begin using medical thermography in their daily practice.
There are over 800 articles in peer reviewed journals on medical thermography. These articles include heart disease, dental thermography, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, cerebrovascular screening with thermography, and many more applications.
The former Soviet Union used medical thermography as one of the greatest indicators of disease. Dr. Alexander Sepper, was at the forefront of this science and has brought to America the very intricacies of his work as a research medical scientist. He originated thermographic screening of ovarian cancer with high effectiveness. His work is being re-introduced in to the scientific community for implementation. He also shares with us exciting information for thermographic testing of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
Breast Thermography International (BTI) is the company I use by choice as they are on the forefront for many reasons. One being they have Dr Alexander Sepper as their Medical Director with extensive experience and research in Thermography. Two, this company uses the best infrared cameras which is critical for accuracy and interpretation. Three, this company has 3 levels of interpretation for each scan so less chance “something is missed”. And the company requires extensive training, testing and CEU’s yearly for all who become Certified Thermographers through PACT.

Thermography has helped many with much earlier diagnosis of conditions which many go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
Do you know 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime? While one can’t always prevent breast cancer, you can do regular screenings to detect it. Many Doctors recommend women age 40-55 get mammograms yearly. But what if there were a method to detect cancer earlier?
Dr Cann sees Thermography as an critical addition to further promote overall health and well-being. Dr Cann’s outlook is that one’s health does not stop at the breast tissue and she encourages all who sign up for a Thermography scan to choose the full-body scan.
